Bridgeport Man Ditches Gun During Car Chase: Stratford Police

The man is accused of throwing a gun out of his car window after leading officers on a chase, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of throwing a gun out of his car window after leading police on a chase Tuesday night in Stratford. The incident began at about 9:35 p.m. on Stratford Avenue near Honeyspot Road and ended on Bruce Avenue, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

Eannotti said Eris Hall, 22, refused to stop for officers and “during his attempt to flee he threw a firearm out of the window of the vehicle.” Hall had unloaded and dismantled the gun before discarding it, according to Eannotti. Police recovered the weapon, ammunition and high capacity magazine.

Hall was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a high capacity magazine, tampering with evidence, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to have tail lamps.

Hall posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 4.
