Bridgeport Man Found With Drugs, Gun During Traffic Stop: Police
State Police, who were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-95, saying the vehicle didn't have a registration plate attached to it.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A convicted felon from Bridgeport was arrested after he was found to be in the possession of a loaded gun and drugs during a traffic stop on I-95 in Fairfield on Memorial Day, according to state police. At about 9 p.m. on May 27, troopers out of Troop G-Bridgeport were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-95 North near Exit 19 in Fairfield when they saw a Silver Honda Accord that did not have a registration plate attached to the rear of the vehicle, according to police.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and identified all occupants inside of the vehicle. During the investigation, troopers believed that contraband was located inside of the vehicle, according to police.
Following a search of the vehicle, police seized the following: one fully loaded FIE Model T18 .22 caliber revolver, one magazine that contained 10 .22 caliber rounds, 2.205 ounces of marijuana, five MDMA ecstasy pills, a digital scale and several cellphones used for the distribution of narcotics for street level sales.

Rayqon D. Davis, 24, of Bridgeport, who was also found to be a convicted felon, was subsequently arrested, according to police. He was charged with two counts of illegal possession of unstamped drug and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of narcotics, possession with intent to sell hallucinogenic substance, possession of controlled substance or less than ½ ounce of cannabis, carrying pistol without a permit, illegal possession of weapon in a motor vehicle and criminal possession of a firearm/ ammunition/ defense weapon.
He was unable to post a $75,000 bond and was transported to the Bridgeport Correctional Center and later arraigned at Bridgeport Superior Court, according to police.
