BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to five years in prison in connection with a Stratford woman's overdose death, according to police.
Talvin Hinton, 43, pleaded guilty in federal court to distributing heroin, Stratford police announced Friday.
The investigation into Hinton's drug dealing began when a 27-year-old woman overdosed on heroin, fentanyl and other substances in September 2017, according to police. Investigators identified Hinton as the person who sold the woman the deadly drugs, and throughout winter of 2018 Drug Enforcement Administration officials bought heroin from Hinton, leading to his arrest on trafficking charges, police said in a news release.
