Bridgeport Man Injured In Machete Attack; Suspect Arrested: Police
The incident occurred Monday on Elmwood Avenue in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was injured Monday when he was attacked by an assailant wielding a machete during an altercation in the 80th block of Elmwood Avenue, according to Bridgeport police.
The victim was treated in an area hospital for wounds that are not expected to be a threat to his life, and a suspect in the attack has been arrested.
Morris Roberts, 52, was found by police near the scene of the alleged attack, and a machete was recovered. He was charged with the following:

Roberts was held in lieu of bail of $85,000, and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 31.
