Bridgeport Man Killed in Route 15 Crash

NEW HAVEN, CT — A person was killed after a vehicle smashed into a tree on Route 15 near exit 59 on the northbound side.

Police have identified the driver as Carlos Salgado, 21, of Bridgeport
Salgado lost control of his vehicle and went off the road toward the right shoulder area. He struck the wire rope fence and continued off into a wooded area where his vehicle hit two trees.
Salgado was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
