Bridgeport Man Sentenced In Federal Firearm Case: U.S. Attorney
Authorities found the defendant, a convicted felon, was in possession of a loaded handgun.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 37-year-old Bridgeport man was sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, U.S. Attorney David X. Sullivan announced.
Marques Isiah Lindsay was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill to 60 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
According to court records, Bridgeport police officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Sept. 17, 2023, near Washington Terrace. Lindsay, who was a passenger, got out of the back seat after the vehicle stopped and ran. Officers apprehended him shortly afterward.

A search of Lindsay found a loaded Glock 26 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, a second extended magazine, and $420 in cash, court documents said.
Federal law prohibits people convicted of felonies from possessing firearms or ammunition that has traveled in interstate or foreign commerce. Prosecutors said Lindsay has prior felony convictions in state court, including offenses involving drugs, robbery and larceny.

Lindsay has been held in custody since his arrest. He pleaded guilty on Oct. 1, 2025, to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Bridgeport Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Gresham prosecuted the case.
