Bridgeport Man Shoots Woman, Kills Self: Police
A man died of an apparent gunshot wound after a standoff with police Sunday.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man shot his ex-girlfriend in a parked car and then killed himself after a standoff with police in Bridgeport Sunday night. Police received a shots fired call for GIlman Street at 10:32 p.m.
A 21-year-old female victim had been shot in the arm by her ex-boyfriend. Police tracked him in a foot chase to Pacific Street, where he barricaded himself in a residence.
Police used specialized equipment to enter the home, where they found the man dead in the basement from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was treated for the gunshot wound in her left arm at a local hospital, The New Haven Register reported. A second woman and a 3-year-old child also in the car at the time of the shooting were uninjured.
Yesterday at 2032 hours, shots fired were reported in the area of Gilman Street. A 21 year old female victim was shot in the arm by her ex-boyfriend. He was tracked to Pacific Street early this morning where he barricaded himself in a residence and refused to come out. (1/2)...

Specialized equipment was used to enter the residence to locate the suspect, who with this equipment was found deceased in the basement from an apparent gunshot wound. Bridgeport Fire is on the scene assisting officers, and detectives to process the crime scene (2/2). #bptpolice
