Bridgeport Man Tries to Run from Milford Police After Small Amount of Drugs Found: Police
Milford police said they stopped the vehicle for an equipment violation.

MILFORD, CT — A vehicle equipment violation stop led to the discovery of Xanax and a small amount of marijuana, and the suspect tried to run from police before he was apprehended, Milford police said.
Police said on Nov. 4 officers stopped a vehicle being driven by Milton Castro, 36, of Griffin Avenue in Bridgeport for an equipment violation in the area of Interstate 95 Exit 35 South on-ramp.
Investigation led to the arrest of Castro who was found to be in possession of Xanax for which he doesn't have a prescription, and less than a half ounce of marijuana, police said.

As officers were investigating the incident Castro attempted to flee the scene on foot but was taken into custody and charged with interfering with arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of less than half ounce of marijuana.
He was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on Nov. 29.
