Bridgeport Man Vomits In Uber, Pulls Out Gun During Argument, Cops Say

The incident occurred last week on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man, who police said appeared to be intoxicated, vomited in an Uber last week, and then pulled out a handgun when arguing with the driver, according to authorities.

No injuries were reported in the Thursday incident on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, but the suspect, Alex Rosado, was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center for evaluation before being arrested by police.

"Responding officers came upon a male, [and] while approaching the male, a pistol was observed sticking out of his pocket," wrote Bridgeport Police Lt. Jason Amato in a statement. "The suspect, who was later identified as Alex Rosado, apparently vomited in the Uber car before getting out and arguing with the Uber driver. At one point, the Uber driver stated Rosado pulled out a firearm. Officers seized the firearm before calling for medics due to Rosado’s intoxicated behavior."

Police discovered that the gun had been reported stolen, and Rosado, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms.

  • Carrying a pistol without a permit
  • Criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition
  • Theft of a firearm
  • Breach of peace

He was released after posting bond on bail of $10,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Friday.
