WE Have The Parks

WE indeed are known as THE PARK CITY.OUR very first park was the westerly part of MCLEVY GREEN became a public square in 1806.AS the years passed the public realized the need for more parks.BY 1864 P.T.BARNUM and others donated 44 acres to create what we call SEASIDE PARK today.NOW SEASIDE covers 375 acres as one of our most beautiful parks.IN 1878 over 100 acres were donated to what we know as BEARDSLEY PARK.There is also BEECHWOOD PARK and the renovated PLEASURE BEACH which years ago was STEEPLE CHASE PARK and years later our PLEASURE BEACH with rides and beach areas but now is just part of our history.There is also WEST FIELD in our WEST END where ages ago BARNUM 's CIRCUS called home as their WINTER QUARTERS.YES,BRIDGEPORT has its' fair share of parks for all to enjoy.
