Information from the City of Bridgeport:
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Chief Porter and The Bridgeport Police Department announce the Entry-Level Police Officer timeline. The Bridgeport Police Department is dedicated to serving the community by protecting life and property and preventing crime. The police and the community are accountable to each other and will work together to ensure the highest quality of life; to enforce the law, maintain order, educate the public, and provide public assistance with respect, dignity, and equality while maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
As part of Chief Porter’s vision to prepare and assist our future police officer candidates, we are announcing the launch of workout camps designed to support candidates in their journey. The camps will take place at Harding High School’s track from 5 pm - 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday throughout June. This voluntary program offers candidates an opportunity to learn about the Chip exam while participating in workouts tailored to help them succeed. Chief Porter and the Bridgeport Police Department are committed to providing the necessary guidance and support to ensure our candidates are well-prepared for the physical challenges of the exam.
