Bridgeport Woman Accused Of Stealing $3K From Stratford Campaign

The woman was arrested on a warrant.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport woman is accused of stealing nearly $3,000 from the campaign of former Stratford mayoral candidate Stephanie Philips while she was working on the campaign, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Tyquasha Davis, 23, was arrested Monday following an investigation that began earlier this year when the campaign’s treasurer reported that three checks had been written payable to Davis, all on the same day, for nearly $3,000.

Philips, a Democrat, lost to Mayor Laura Hoydick in the municipal election last November.
