Bridgeport Woman Arrested Twice In The Same Day: Milford Police

Police said one of the accused's tried to avoid arrest by jumping onto the train tracks.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police arrested two people twice in the same day, police said. The second arrest occurred at the train station and one of the accuseds jumped onto the train tracks in an effort to avoid being charged again, police said.

On July 20, officers responded to a Schoolhouse Road motel on a report of a possible domestic violence incident Investigation led to the arrest of Durell Dixon, 29, of Ellsworth Avenue in New Haven and Jennie Simler-Cirasuolo, 24, of Mountain Grove in Bridgeport, who are accused of engaging in a physical altercation with each other inside of the motel, police said.

Both parties were given conditions of release and told they could not see or speak with each other until after they went to court the next day.

Later that same day, police responded to the train station as both Dixon and Simler-Cirasuolo were engaged in a verbal altercation on the train platform, police said. Simler-Cirasuolo was found to the aggressor as a witness gave a statement regarding the incident, police said.

Simler-Cirasuolo jumped off the train platform and onto the tracks in an attempt to avoid apprehension, but was apprehended shortly thereafter, police said. Dixon told officers he was not going to be arrested again and attempted to flee and fight with officers, police said.

They were both charged with third-degree assault, violation of conditions of release, and second-degree breach of peace.
