Bridgeport Woman Charged After Police Find Weapon In Motor Vehicle: Milford Police

Police said they stopped the vehicle after a motor vehicle violation.

MILFORD, CT — Police say a motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of a woman who allegedly had a weapon in her car. On August 2, officers stopped a vehicle on Route 1 near Woodruff Road for a moving violation, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Lachelle Britt, 33, of Chamberlin, Bridgeport who is accused of driving the vehicle with a suspended license and carrying a stun gun device in the glove box of the vehicle, police said.

She is charged with failure to obey traffic signal, driving under a suspended license and having a weapon in a motor vehicle.
