Bridgeport Woman Charged In Serious Hit-And-Run Accident Which Left Victim Seriously Injured: Milford Police

The victim was leaving her job at a local restaurant when she was struck by the hit-and-run driver, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Police released more details about an arrest they made in a serious motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Aug. 28, 2016 in the area of Bridgeport and Woodland avenues.

The victim is Amanda Keane, of Stratford, who was leaving her job at the The Bridge House Restaurant in Devon when she was struck by the hit-and-run vehicle, police have said.

In an announcing the arrest, Milford police said, "Through an extensive investigation Milford Police Traffic officers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Antonia Pierce, 30, of Williams Street, Bridgeport. Pierce is accused of striking a pedestrian on August 28, 2016 with her vehicle on Bridgeport Avenue near Woodland Avenue at approximately 11:00pm and fleeing the scene. This accident left the victim with serious (almost life-threatening) injuries, which she is still suffering from."

Pierce is charged with: reckless driving, evading responsibility and second-degree assault.

Pierce was released on $10,000 bond to appear in Milford Court on June 13, 2017.

"Amanda has been a very hard working loving person that always puts others in front of herself, always helping others...in the work place or at home, she is admired by all.
