Bridgeport Woman Possessed Crack Cocaine In Milford: Police

Police say the woman refused to cooperate with officers and she threw herself to the ground and yelled profanities.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police stopped a vehicle, which led to the arrest of a Bridgeport woman who was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine, police said. On Oct. 20, officers stopped a vehicle on Milford Point Road near Naugatuck Avenue for an equipment violation, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Estella Jones, 59, of Palisade Avenue in Bridgeport, who was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.

Jones is accused of being in possession of crack cocaine and a glass smoking pipe, police said. While attempting to pat down Jones, she refused to cooperate with officers by throwing her body on the ground, yelling and screaming profanities in a crowded parking lot, police said.

She is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with arrest. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 14.
