Bridgeport Woman Shot Over Child Support Payments: Report

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Naugatuck man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend instead of paying her child support, The Connecticut Post reported. Terrance Smith, 40, of School Street, has been held on $500,000 bond on charges of first-degree assault, criminal possession of a gun, and illegally firing a gun.
