Courtroom Brawls Break Out In Hartford, Bridgeport
Emotions were running high over court cases that involved the deaths of young people.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Courtroom brawls broke out in Bridgeport and Hartford courtrooms Friday as emotions ramped up into physical outbursts.
In Bridgeport Terrell "Big Baby" Evans was sentenced to 25 years in prison suspended after serving 15 years after he accidentally shot his friend Kyree Kennedy in the head, according to the Connecticut Post. Witnesses told police the two were shooting up a car that belonged to someone Kennedy was in a feud with. One man was arrested in court.
In Hartford the brother and father of Felipe Lopez, 16, were subdued by marshals during the arraignment of Isiah Benitez, who is charged with shooting Lopez, according to the Hartford Courant.
