Discrimination Lawsuit Filed In Bridgeport By White Police Officers: Report
The six members of the Force reportedly claim that the department's Black police chief has discriminated against them.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A group of white members of the Bridgeport Police Department are suing Police Chief Roderick Porter, who is Black, for discrimination, the Connecticut Post reported.
The federal lawsuit reportedly claims that Porter treated Black members of the Force more favorably than white members, through plum assignments and other matters.
Additionally, the six white officers, all of whom are either sergeants or lieutenants, claim that they suffered "a series of adverse employment actions," and other issues.
