Firefighter, Girlfriend Accused Of Stealing From Elderly Bridgeport Woman: Report

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Norwalk firefighter Kevin Gilchrist, 39, and his girlfriend Leticia Viera, 46, were arrested this week for allegedly stealing $5,000 from an elderly Bridgeport woman, reports The Hour.

The couple, from Norwalk and Bridgeport, respectively, are alleged to have used information from the woman's checking account to take the money, according to Bridgeport police.

Viera was charged with second-degree Larceny, third-degree Larceny, Identity Theft and second-degree Forgery, while Gilchrist was charged with sixth-degree Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Second-Degree Identity Theft.
