Homemade Bridgeport Machine Gun Trafficker Sentenced: U.S. Atty
A Bridgeport man was sentenced after he trafficked homemade machine guns, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison for trafficking homemade machine guns.
George Jaiman, 70, agreed to sell homemade machine guns that were manufactured by Sean Dey in Dey's Torrington basement workshop, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut. Dey manufactured AK-47 and AR-style machine guns and other firearms.
Jaiman's son Philip also sold some of the guns in the Bridgeport area, including to convicted felons.

George Jaiman was arrested in June 2018 and pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun in October.
Dey pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage unlawfully in the business of selling firearms, and one count of unlawful possession and transfer of a machine gun. He was sentenced to 24 months of imprisonment followed by 12 months of home confinement.
