Man Found Dead In Bridgeport Pond ID'd

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police have identified the man found in a pond at Beardsley Park as James Freeman, 50, of Bridgeport. His body was found Jan. 31 and he was declared dead at the scene.

Freeman's body was found in Bunnells Pond, according to the Connecticut Post. The cause and manner of his death are still under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

A toxicology report is pending.
