Man Found Guilty Of Raping Teen After Returning Dog

The man returned a lost dog, then sexually assaulted a teen girl, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A jury convicted a man of first-degree sexual assault after it found he had raped a teenage girl after returning her lost dog.

Robert Rivera, 32, faces up to 20 years in prison, according to the Connecticut Post.

The 18-year-old victim said her dog got out of the house and a short time later Rivera showed up at the door with the dog. She took the dog and put him in the bedroom.

Rivera pushed his way into the house and raped her, according to police. They recovered DNA evidence.
