The man was shot Wednesday night in Bridgeport, according to police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person was hospitalized after being shot Wednesday night in Bridgeport, according to police.
Police said a person reported he was shot around 8:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Wheeler Avenue.
Arriving police units confirmed a gunshot wound to the man’s right leg and left leg, according to police. The suspect ran away from the scene, police said.

Officers applied a tourniquet to the man while waiting for medical personnel, according to police.
The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening.
