Man Pleads Guilty to Killing Bridgeport Pedestrian

The man ran a red light and fatally struck a pedestrian.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Stratford man pleaded guilty to running a red light and fatally injuring a Bridgeport woman in a Bridgeport crash.

Jerry Goncalves, 26, pleaded guilty to negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, according to the Connecticut Post. Judge Kevin Doyle said he would be sentenced to two years prison suspended after seven months on March 31.

Sandra Vilsaint, 31, was struck in the February 2016 crash.
