Man Sentenced For Beating Infant Daughter

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport man William Lugo was sentenced to 42 months in prison for severely beating his 6-month-old daughter.

Lugo's daughter was found to have two fractured legs, facial bruising and bleeding on the brain after being taken to the hospital in October 2016, according to the Connecticut Post. He pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and risk of injury to a child.

Lugo challenged members of his family to a fight shortly before being sentenced.
