Man Shot During Robbery Attempt: Bridgeport PD

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 51-year-old man was shot in the leg near the intersection of Seaview Avenue and Deacon Street Thursday night, according to police.

Police got calls around 11:30 p.m. about someone being shot in the area. A short time later, a man walked into an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

Evidence was collected from the 100 block of Deacon Street.

A male suspect approached the victim and demanded money, police said. The victim said he was unable to provide money and was shot. The suspect fled on foot. Police don't have a description of the suspect.
