Man Tortured, Killed Uncle: Bridgeport PD

The man tried to cover up the killing as well, police said.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was charged with abusing and killing his disabled uncle and trying to cover up the evidence, according to police.

Brent Whiteman was charged with murder, tampering with evidence, first-degree abuse and risk of injury to a child on Aug. 3, according to the Connecticut Post.

Whiteman's uncle Robert Jones, 61, lived with Whiteman and his wife Tynisha Hall who has also been charged with murder. He had fetal alcohol syndrome. To sign up for Bridgeport breaking news alerts and more, click here.

The couple set up Jones body to make it look like he had a heart attack, but Jones barely had any blood left in his body and blood splatter was found in the family's bathroom.
