Man Charged With Trying To Burn Down Strip Club: Report
The son of a former Bridgeport mayor is facing arson charges.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — The son of former Mayor Mary Moran is facing charges after police said he attempted to burn down a strip club, according to The New Haven Register. Stephen Moran, son of 54, of Lake Avenue in Trumbull, was charged with second-degree arson, reckless burning, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Moran was held on $300,000 bond.
Moran had been thrown out of Scruples Gentleman's Club on North Avenue for creating a disturbance last week, according to The Register. He is accused of returning with a can of gasoline and setting the building on fire, which was extinguished by club employees.
