Man In Vehicle With Child, Stolen Handgun Pleads Guilty

BRIDGEPORT, CT — City man Ismael Mangual, 43, pleaded guilty to distributing heroin and possessing a firearm in U.S. District Court.

Mangual was stopped in Milford during August 2017 in an unregistered vehicle. There was a 6-year-old in the back seat without a car seat or seat belt. A Glock. 40 caliber handgun that was reported stolen was seized along with 140 grams of heroin, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.

He faces at least 10 years in prison and up to 40 years.
