OH YES there have been numerous guys who played the great detective CHARLIE CHAN.FROM 1921 TO 2004 PETER USTINOV was the famed detective.FROM 1930-1981-ROSS MARTIN played CHAN.FROM 1894 TO 1947 SIDNEY TOLER was our man CHAN.FROM 1904 TO 1989 RICHARD WINTERS played CHAN.FROM 1895-1931 GEORGE KUWA played CHAN.THE character of CHARLIE CHAN was the concept of the great AUTHOR EARL DERR BIGGERS.THE one CHAN I remember was WARNER OLAND.HE in my memory was indeed CHARLIE CHAN.HE played CHAN for years.After WARNERS'death SYDNEY TOLER took the reins as the great CHARLIE CHAN.TOLER did 22 CHAN films.ALL the actors who portrayed CHAN were great actors but I adored WARNER OLAND as CHAN.
