HEY lets'pretend its'MONDAY night and we are shopping downtown BRIDGEPORT.While passing cars blast rock and roll music the customers run about searching for retail bargains.This was typical of how we shopped BACK IN THE DAY.NOW what was once a reality is just a faded memory of the past.What happened to our downtown/WE lost our piece of AMERICANA.AT one time downtown was a shoppers'mecca/Stores such as MR.JERRYS'/AUSTINS/LERNERS/GLEASONS'JEWELERS/H.L.GREENS/LEVITTS/W.T.GRANTS/SS KRESGEE/WALGREENS and so many more. What a pity they are gone .SO many changes over the decades-some better/some not.BUT there is no going bacl-to the HAPPY DAYS except in our memories of the past.
