Pair Of $50,000 Winning Lottery Tickets Sold To Bridgeport Residents
One lucky ticket was sold locally, the other in Old Greenwich, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two Bridgeport residents are starting off the New Year with $50,000 each after claiming winning scratch-off lottery tickets, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Jan. 4, an unnamed resident claimed a winning Cash Is King ticket bought at the Greenwich BP gas station on East Putnam Avenue in Old Greenwich.
And on Monday, Mayrenid M. claimed a winning Super Cashword 23 ticket that was purchased at Ely Liquor Store on East Main Street in Bridgeport.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.
The Cash Is King game, which costs $5 per ticket, began in November 2023, and as of Tuesday, two grand prizes of $50,000 remained unclaimed. More than 2 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.50.

The Super Cashword 23 game, which also cost $5 per ticket, began in June 2022, but has ended. More than 10 million game tickets were printed.
