Person Shot In Hand At Bridgeport Party: Police
The shooting occurred Wednesday night on Park Avenue, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person suffered a hand injury Wednesday after being shot while at a party in the 1300 block of Park Avenue in Bridgeport, according to police.
The incident occurred just before 11 p.m., and the wound is not considered to be a threat to the victim's life, said Scott Appleby, Bridgeport's director of Emergency Management.
Police were alerted to the scene by multiple 911 calls and a ShotSpotter activation, but the victim was able to get to St. Vincent's Medical Center for treatment without emergency assistance.

No arrests have been reported.
"This is an active investigation at this time," Appleby said in a statement. "Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police at 203-576-TIPS."
