Boy I really can relate to this old photo of the BRIDGEPORT RAILROAD STATION especially in the 60's .I went to CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL when the hours warranted afternoon classes so I held down my first part time job washing dishes at the lunch counter in the old railroad building.I was up before the chickens walking to work from my home in the HOLLOW.I worked from Five thirty a/m to around noon then headed off to school.I remember the conductors grabbing a coffee before leaving the station. The place was busy back then. Now we have a more modern facility next to our bus station.Boy how things change with time.I miss those days when life was so simple not complex like it is today.
