Suspect In Fatal Bridgeport Stabbing Held On $1 Million Bond: Report

The suspect reportedly is claiming self-defense in the incident.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Lawrence Blue, the suspect in Saturday's fatal stabbing, is claiming self-defense in the incident, which left Bridgeport resident Justice Hunter, 23, dead, reported the Connecticut Post.

Blue, 45 and also a Bridgeport resident, was arraigned in court Monday, and Superior Court Judge Peter McShane continued Blue's $1 million bond.

Hunter was found in the parking garage of an apartment complex on Atlantic Street just after 4 a.m. on Saturday. He had been stabbed and succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital.

The two men knew each other, according to police, who said detectives were able to quickly develop Blue as a suspect.
