Suspicious Incident Involving Child Investigated: Bridgeport PD

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police are investigating a suspicious incident after a 14-year-old child reported that two women tried to kidnap him, according to police.

The 14-year-old said that two women were sitting on a bench near the intersection of Wood Avenue and Olive Street and that they attempted to kidnap him. The incident occurred Dec. 26 before 9:10 a.m.

Detectives reviewed video surveillance, but it did not show an attempted kidnapping, police said. The suspects' behavior was suspicious and could constitute a felony risk of injury to a minor offense.
