Victim Suffers Leg Wound In Bridgeport Shooting: Police
The shooting occurred just after midnight on Wednesday.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg early Wednesday in a shooting in the 200 block of Orchard Street in Bridgeport, according to police.
The injury, which occurred in at about 12:15 a.m., is not considered to be a threat to the person's life.
Details of the shooting were not immediately available, but police were alerted to the incident through a ShotSpotter activation and several 911 calls of a person shot near a corner store. ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection service in various areas of the city that notifies police when and where gunshots are fired.
