Woman Mistakes Dynamite For Candle, Blows Off Fingers

The Bridgeport woman went to light a candle during a power outage, but instead blew up a quarter stick of dynamite.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A woman lost several fingers after she mistook a quarter stick of dynamite for a candle during a power outage Thursday.

The stick went off in the woman's hand on Lindley Street and she sustained serious injuries, according to the Connecticut Post.
