Brookfield, CT Film Festival Shorts and to the Point

The Brookfield Arts Commission and Friends of the Arts of Brookfield, Inc. are pleased to announce dates for the 9th annual Shorts and to the Point Brookfield Film Festival! Three screenings will be held at the Brookfield Senior Center located at 100 Pocono Rd. Screening dates and times are Friday, March 31 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, April 1 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, April 2 at 3 pm. Doors open a half hour before screenings.

The Brookfield Arts Commission’s film festival committee has selected a unique program of shorts after viewing dozens of films featured in several competitive festivals. This year Brookfield Arts Commission is pleased to present films by two women who began their careers in Brookfield. Rachel Blumberg will speak about her experiences with film making and the genre of short films during the festival intermission. Olivia Hampson’s short film, Phases of Mahina, is also featured.

Admission is $15 (suggested donation) and includes a complimentary glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds raised during the film festival will be used to fund scholarships that will be awarded to Brookfield residents graduating high school and intending to further their education in the arts.
