Alfred Ketterl, 84

January 17, 1928 — June 17, 2012

Alfred R. Ketterl, Sr. 84, of Danbury and formerly of Brookfield, beloved husband of Alice Jean (Vandenhoeck) Ketterl, died peacefully at Hancock Hall on Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was born on January 17, 1928 in Queens NY, son of the late Joseph and Katherine Ketterl.

He was a graduate of City College in the Bronx. He was employed at IBM Corporation as a Financial Assurance Specialist and Union Pacific Railroad. In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by his five children, Janis Lutterman and her husband Gary, Paul Ketterl and his wife Joan, Jill Ketterl Almeida, Jeanne Gerrior and her husband Glenn and Bud Ketterl and his wife Jennifer. He will also be missed by his 10 grandchildren, Rachel Almeida, Allyson Almeida, Brian Almeida, Stephen Lutterman, Arianna Gerrior, Hannah Gerrior, Kahley Gerrior, Lauren Ketterl, Justin Ketterl and Dana Ketterl.

A heartfelt thanks to all of his caregivers throughout the years. A special thanks to all of the nurses at Hancock Hall for their continual care.

Funeral Information

Funeral services and burial will be held privately. There will be no calling hours.
