BROOKFIELD, CT — A medical device manufacturer with operations around the world has expanded into Brookfield, bringing a new manufacturing operation and jobs to town.
Resonetics recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest operation at Berkshire Corporate Park, according to the Brookfield Economic Development Office. Municipal leaders toured the facility during an Aug. 5 grand opening.
Founded in Nashua, New Hampshire, in 1987, Resonetics specializes in advanced micro medical device manufacturing. The company has 20 manufacturing locations worldwide and more than 3,000 employees, according to the town.
"The opening of this new building represents much more than added capacity—it reflects our commitment to extending our impact with our customers and the patients they serve," Resonetics CEO Kevin Kelly said.
Kelly said the investment positions the company for continued growth while creating local jobs.
Maura Ruby, president and CEO of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, said the expansion demonstrates the region's ability to attract and retain advanced manufacturing companies.
Greg Dembowski, Brookfield's economic development and project manager, also welcomed the expansion, saying Resonetics' decision to grow in Brookfield reflects the town's location, workforce, infrastructure and community partnerships.
