What to know: Water line assessment bills were due Oct. 1, and payments must be received or postmarked by Nov. 2 to avoid interest of 1.5 percent a month, with a $5 minimum, according to the Tax Collector's legal notice. Pay by mail to P.O. Box 508 or at Town Hall; cash is accepted up to $500, and card and e-check payments carry fees.
