Ann's Place Community Based Cancer Support Center Discussed

At a recent meeting of the Brookfield Lions, Ms. Catherine B. McGrath, Director of Development for Ann’s Place in Danbury CT, spoke about the Community Based Cancer Support programs and resources for individuals and families facing Cancer offered at Ann’s Place. She mentioned that professional counseling, support groups, wellness activities and more are offered at no charge. Their services help those living with Cancer create their own path to improving their quality of life. The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.3 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet twice weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
