Are You Eligible? Brookfield Schools To Offer Free Lunch
Brookfield Public Schools will provide one lunch meal per school day free of charge to students who are eligible for reduced-price meals.
BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Public School will use federal American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide one lunch meal per school day free of charge to students who are eligible for reduced-price meals, according to a letter to families from Ken Post, the schools' director of Business Operations
Connecticut received $16 million in ARPA money to be allocated to school districts which participate in the National School Lunch Program.
An application to apply for free or reduced-price lunch is available online in English and Spanish on the Brookfield Public Schools’ website.

Payment for lunch can be made by setting up an account through My School Bucks, an online payment option. The cafeteria also accepts checks made out to Brookfield Public Schools to add funds to a student’s lunch account.
The cost for paid lunch for the 2023-2024 school year is:
Candlewood Lake Elementary School $2.50
Whisconier Middle School $3.00
Brookfield High School $3.25
