Become Scuba Certified with Brookfield Crew 8

Brookfield’s Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America is launching an exciting regional program called “Venturing” for teens throughout the greater Danbury area.

One of the fastest growing programs in the BSA, Venturing in “Brookfield’s Crew 8” welcomes males and females aged 14-20. The BSA recognizes an evolving society and tailored the Venturing program to focus less on ceremony, with uniforms and achievement honors, and more on mentoring young adults who enjoy participating in co-ed extreme sports and high adventure activities.

“Our goal is to complement the existing Scout program by providing exciting opportunities for teens to make new friends and practice team-building, while remaining focused on establishing values and character” Venture Crew 8 Leader, Jonathan Gibney said in a press release.

With its first adventure already in the planning stages, the Brookfield 8 Crew is offering members the chance to become SCUBA certified.
