Brookfield Blind Mountain Climber Tells His Story

Brookfield Lions host Randy Pierce, a blind mountain climber, at its annual charity breakfast.

Mr. Randy Pierce, President and Founder of 2020 Vision Quest, a Charitable Organization, was the keynote speaker at the Brookfield Lions 9th Annual Charity Breakfast. He is totally blind. His inspirational presentation took us from when he became blind at 22 years, as a result of a neurological disease, which transformed him from a healthy and ordinary man to a blind man completely uncertain of his future. Mr. Pierce’s passion for life encouraged him to utilize adversity as a positive catalyst for growth and opportunity. He has embodied the 2020Vision Quest theme of “Achieve a Vision Beyond Your Sight”. He has continually forged ahead to live an amazing variety of adventures and accomplishments such as earning a second degree black belt, climbing all 48 New Hampshire hills that exceed 4000 ft elevations with his Guide Dog Quinn and competing in Marathons. His presentation was well received by the attendees.
