The Brookfield Bobcats opened the 2013 boys lacrosse season with an impressive 18-4 win at Notre Dame Fairfield Thursday afternoon.
After a slow start, with the score knotted at 2-2 after the first period, Brookfield went on an offensive tear in the second quarter outscoring Notre Dame 10-0 to end the half at 12-2.
Both the offense and defense played well. Shane Madden lead all scorers with 8 goals and 3 assists. Liam Clancy added 5 goals and an assist. JT Redd controlled the faceoffs, winning 15 of 22 faces. Jacob Maddox had a strong game in goal registering 4 saves.

Brookfield controlled the tempo of the game with 36 ground balls and 20 takeaways. AJ Sussingham scooped up 7 ground balls and Joe Dixon had 5 takeaways.
Brookfield travels to Danbury Saturday morning to face their cross-town rivals, the Immaculate Mustangs.
