Brandywine Harvest Bound Culinary Competition raised not only awareness for the Friendly Hands Food Bank
Harvest Bound Culinary Competition held on September 13, 2016 was a smashing success!

(Litchfield, Conn.) The Harvest Bound Culinary Competition held on
September 13, 2016 was a smashing success with two chefs battling it out
to see who won the best of the best! Attendees for the event ranged
from
residents to family members to Brandywine staff plus many folks from
community. They gathered around watching the chefs create their
masterpieces. Their creations where judged by Father Tucker of St.
Anthony's
Church, Chris from Sunset Meadow Vineyard and Tom Decker, VP of
Development for Brandywine Living Corporate Office. The decision made by
all three judges was an unanimous draw!
Attendees also
enjoyed various tasting from the Litchfield Distillery and Sunset Meadow
Vineyards. They also were able to watch the food competition, lounge
outside while listening to amazing music by Vincent Avallone. Thank you
all of the donors for their gracious raffle & silent auction items.
The event raised over $2,300 and all proceeds of the raffle & silent
auction benefited the Friendly Hands Food Bank, Inc. of Torrington, CT.

of community outreached was extremely moving to our organization.” said
Maureen Hubert, executive director of Friendly Hands Food Bank, Inc. “We

in our community with the holiday’s right around the corner.”
