W. Lawrence Ruschmeyer [R] – Zoning Board of Appeals
- Larry has been a Brookfield resident for 29 years and currently serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals as an alternate. An entrepreneur, he is the owner and president of New England Landscape & Management Inc. founded 35 years ago. Larry is very involved in the Congregational Church of Brookfield where he serves and has chaired on multiple committees. He and his wife, Sherrie have 3 adult children who graduated from BHS.
Rose DeMarco [R] – Board of Assessment Appeals
- A Brookfield resident for 16 years, Rose earned a BS in Art Education from SCSU. With purchasing and sourcing experience in publishing and CPG corporations, Rose is currently with the Global Print Management division of RR Donnelley & Sons, Inc., a global provider of integrated communications. Rose served on the Board of Directors for the Fairfield County Chapter of APICS.
STANLEY PARKER [R] – Board of Assessment Appeals
- A Brookfield resident for over 50 years, Stanley was recognized by the State of Connecticut for his 25 years on the Zoning Commission, the last 13 as Chairman. Retired from a long career in auto business, Stanley is the senior member of the Republican Town Committee and served on the Charter Revision Commission. He and his wife Beverly have 2 adult children who graduated from BHS and 1 grandchild.
Robert Marconi [D] - Zoning Board of Appeals
- Robert Marconi, Democratic nominee for the Zoning Board of Appeals, has lived in Brookfield with his wife, Louise Trojanowski-Marconi, since 1989. Together they raised two daughters: Elizabeth, BHS 2008, University of Connecticut 2012, currently at Columbia University’s School of Social Work; and Christina, BHS 2012, currently a University of Connecticut senior. Robert graduated from Yale University, the University of Connecticut School of Law and Georgetown University Graduate School. Robert has served his country, state and town. He served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force as a judge advocate (military lawyer) for four years on active duty as a Captain, including tours of duty in Korea and the Washington, D.C. area. He continued to serve another 24 years in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Robert also was an attorney for the Environmental Protection Agency, the General Services Administration and a civilian attorney for the Air Force. Robert is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Connecticut, and has been so for almost 24 years. Finally, Robert served the Town of Brookfield as a member of the Police Commission. He is excited to put his legal and governmental experience to use on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Steve Villodas [D] - Zoning Board of Appeals
- Steve and his wife Diane have resided in Brookfield since 1983, raising three children that were educated in Brookfield schools. He owned an electronic manufacturing business sold in 2012, and is now working as a gardener at the Maywood Estate in Bridgewater. Over thirty years Steve has volunteered in Brookfield, serving eight years on the Planning Commission, two on Inland Wetland and two on the Affordable Housing Taskforce, as well as a long time member of the Brookfield RTC. He has coached baseball, soccer and lacrosse, helping start the girl’s lacrosse team at Brookfield HS. Additionally, Steve has been a board member of the Waterbury and Bethel Chambers of Commerce, Regional Hospice and the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council.
Brian Lerner [D] - Board of Assessment Appeals
- I have been a resident of Brookfield for over 10 years and am an active member of the community. I am married with two children and as such, I have coached numerous soccer teams. Currently I am serving on the Town’s Municipal Building Committee. Professionally I am a Mechanical Engineer from Lehigh University employed as a Commercial Construction Project Manager working on projects between 4 million and 30 million throughout the state of Connecticut. To the Board of Assessment Appeals, I will bring knowledge of the area combined with my understanding of construction as well as a fair adjudicator who understands numbers.
